What is more romantic than taking a horse carriage ride through the streets of historic downtown Bethlehem? Carriage rides leave from the corner of Church and Main St and take you through the city to view the holiday lights, while also learning about the unique history of the city. Bring along the children for an entertaining princess Cinderella experience. Carriage rental prices start at $68 for a vis-à-vis carriage ride and $99 for a Princess Belle or Cinderella carriage ride.

Take the family on a holiday train ride through the decorated city at the Colebrookdale Railroad. Holiday train rides run from Nov. 17- Dec. 23, 2018. There will be Christmas music, hot cocoa, and even a visit from Santa Clause himself, who will have a gift for each child. The entire train ride is approximately two hours long and tickets start at just $45 for adult tickets and $34 for children. Attendees can also purchase dinner train tickets for $65 per adult and $55 for each child.

Reminisce back to your favorite childhood Christmas movies at the Christmas Classic Matinee. Hosted by the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at the Steel Stack, this event will play all of your favorite holiday movie classics. Enjoy “Miracle on 34th Street,” “The Bishops Wife,” “Christmas in Connecticut,” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Matinees run from 12:30-3 p.m. and tickets start at just $10. Students and seniors can purchase tickets for $8 each.

The Winter Light Spectacular at the Lehigh Valley Zoo is the perfect event to get the family in the holiday spirit. Take a stroll through over 1.1 million twinkling lights Wed-Sun from Nov. 23-Dec. 22, 2018. Tickets start at $11 for adults and $6 for children with special discounts for zoo members.

All proceeds from the event go back to the care of the zoo’s animals. Keep warm at the outdoor fire pits and capture a photo of your children with their favorite characters. Elsa, Olaf, and the Grinch are all expected! There will even be a dedicated princess stage.

The Cirque Dreams Holidaze is full of acrobats, twinkling holiday lights, and over 300 costumed characters. The event has already received positive ratings from places like the New York Daily News. Families will enjoy over two hours of music, Broadway performers, and an overall memorable holiday theater circus act. Cirque Dreams Holidaze will be at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center from Dec. 1-4, 2018. Tickets start at $49 per person.
